If you ask me what my favorite beauty product is, that one that I cannot live without? Although it is a super hard and challenging question to answer since I love everything beauty related as you might have already noticed, I will get back at you in heartbeat without hesitation and say “my favorite beauty products are lip products.” Lip products are my favorite because whether it is a lipstick or a lip balm, wearing something on my lips always make me feel confident and beautiful.
About the Brand
Emile Cordon is a cruelty-free luxury vintage lip care brand based in New York City, NY, USA. The recipe that revolves around the lip pots dates back to the 1960s. Each lip pot is created with the finest natural ingredients especially designed for us ladies who enjoy high quality lip care products. As the years passed, the recipe continued to become very popular and as a result it was passed down for generations. Emile Cordon lip pots are inspired by French pastries and macaroons and as a result are tinted with a lovely variety of pastel colors, sophisticated scents, and crafted with extensive care and attention to detail to deliver only the finest quality.
What are the Cashmere-On Lip Pots?
For the past few weeks I have been trying one of these luxurious lip pots called No.1 Lisa.
No.1 Lisa lip pot has notes of Rose Champagne, Fresh Tea Rose, and Strawberry leaves which promises to wrap your lips in a fine cashmere sweater featuring a lightweight lush formula. Besides feeling extremely hydrating and nourishing when applied to the lips, the Cashmere-On Lip Pots offer multi-tasking skincare benefits which includes the following:
Benefits (taken from www.emilecordon.com):
- Heals & Soften Chapped Lips
- Reduce Lip Lines
- Improve Circulation in the Skin
- Protect Lips from Sun Drying Affect
- Nourish Cuticles
- Protect Skin
- Soothe after Sun Exposure
All Lip Pots are cruelty-free and are formulated without: Petrolatum, Parabens, Sulfates, Phthalates, GMOs, Triclosan and only contain the finest natural ingredients that we all enjoy applying to our beautiful lips. One thing to note is that because the lip pots contain only natural ingredients, the shelf life is 12 months and they should be stored in room temperature.
Formula and Packaging
The lip pots have a luxurious lightweight formula that feels extremely nourishing as soon as it touches the lips. No.1 Lisa comes packed inside a chic and elegant glass pot and features a gorgeous petal pink shade and an indulging fresh rose scent. The glass cap features the brand’s logo as well as a captivating message that adds a sophisticated touch to overall product design.A little goes a long way with the lip pot and I love to use it during the day either by itself or under a lipstick or at night before going to bed to keep my lips soft, healthy and glowing even when sleeping. I have also used it to nourish my cuticles and I really enjoy using it for that purpose as well. Having multi-tasking beauty products is a great advantage as they allow you to save both time and money. The lip pots are made in the U.S.A, retail for $42 and you get 0.58 .oz/ 16.5g of product.
Comparison with some of my other favorite lip care products
The Emile Cordon cashmere-on lip pots are already part of my favorites lip products, but I thought it would be a great idea to see how they compare against some of my other lip care loves in terms of the formula. Find a review of some of my other lip care favorites which includes the Dior Creme de Rose Smoothing Plumping Lip Balm, Fresh Beauty Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Sugar Rose Tinted, and the EOS Lip Balm in Summer Fruit here.In terms of formula, Emile Cordon No.1 Lisa is very similar to my beloved Dior Creme de Rose Smoothing Plumping Lip Balm as they are both lightweight and amazingly nourishing. In addition, they both feature a beautiful petal pink shade and a delicate rose scent. When compared to the EOS lip balm, they both compare well on the lightweight formula and they are both all natural. The EOS lip balm provides a matte finish, while No.1 Lisa provides more of a glossy finish. When compared to the Fresh Beauty Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Sugar Rose Tinted, the Fresh Beauty lip balm has a way thicker formula than the Emile Cordon lip pot and does provides a pretty hint of rose color to the lips while No.1 Lisa provides a glossy finish to the lips. Lip balms with a thicker formula are great in a way, but I do prefer lip balms that have a more lightweight formula as it makes them more versatile and useful. I prefer to use lip balms with a thicker formula at night before going to bed or when my lips are extremely chapped. On the other hand, lightweight lip balms can be used anytime, especially under lipsticks and they will not feel heavy and will serve as the perfect lip primer. I have to say that the closest match to the amazing Emile Cordon No.1 Lisa is definitely the Dior Creme de Rose Smoothing Plumping Lip Balm. They are both equally luxurious and while one plumps the lips, the other offers multi-tasking benefits which is a total win win for me. If I had to choose one, it would be a very hard choice as they both closely compare to each other and are equally amazing. The tie breaker for me is definitely the packaging, the Dior Creme de Rose Smoothing Plumping Lip Balm comes in a plastic pot while the Emile Cordon No.1 Lisa comes in an elegant and sophisticated glass pot that gives the overall product design a touch of luxury and differentiation. As a lover of lip balms overall, I was extremely excited for the opportunity to try the Emile Cordon lip pot in No.1 Lisa and I was even more happy to find out how much I enjoy using it. Who doesn’t love a lip care product that is super luxurious and that has been created using only the finest natural ingredients? I do! and if you do as well, I highly recommend you to check the amazing wide variety of lip pots at emilecordon.com to effortless achieve kisses full of luxe and charm from morning to night. I simply adore everything about this product, from the chic packaging, to the luxurious formula, to the amazing multi-tasking skincare benefits that comes packed in a small but very mighty pot.
